“We worked with Pete to evaluate our house (drafty basement, old musty house smell) and to put together a complete plan to fix the problem for good. Our plan included fixing attic/basement insulation with another contractor, installing an industrial dehumidifier, and performing mold mitigation (PM does the latter two). Pete walked through all the options, was incredibly professional, accountable, timely, and respectful the entire time. Our mold mitigation was done by Pete, Marcus, and Yusef and included scrubbing and sanding any areas where there was obvious mold, fogging the entire house with their vapor treatment, and applying additional anti-fungal treatment spray in our two bathrooms. After all was said and done, the work was high quality and at a price fitting that quality. In our opinion a job done right is worth the price, especially when it comes to the air you breathe. We're very happy that Pete and his crew did a thorough and professional job, and that the musty smell is gone. We absolutely recommend Pure Maintenance if you're struggling with indoor air quality issues due to mold growth and attached are a couple of pics of the fogging Pete sent during the treatment (you have to be out of the house during and for a few hours after it's done). If you are considering this treatment, you probably also want to look into getting any of your central air vents and ducts cleaned and your house inspected for faulty insulation in the attic and basement rim joists (see my other reviews for that contractor's info). After contacting a well known remediation company, we received an estimate to clean the house (not contents) for the affected areas for an exorbitant price. “Pure Maintenance was very responsive and professional. When I suspected mold in my home, I had ordered a HERTSMI test kit to see what was in the dust inside of my home. I could always sense and even smell areas where I felt there was mold. The air inside felt heavy and dark. “We contacted Nez at Pure Maintenance at the recommendation of Mike Warner of Construction Specialties. Nez and Dillon inspected every area of our house and collected air samples. Along with a 28-page report complete with lab results, Nez provided a comprehensive plan using the dry-vapor method. The cost was reasonable and could be completed quickly. On the day they arrived at 8:30, we left the house and returned at 5:00. After opening windows to let in fresh air, any scent was barely noticeable and gone by the next day. In the post-Covid environment, we are very conscious of air quality, and Pure Maintenance has raised it to a new level. “I honestly can not say enough good things about Pure Maintenance. We originally them scheduled for a Wednesday in February. Weather was questionable and Nez had amazing communication with me. The day of we determined weather shouldn't be an issue. Unfortunately that morning on they way to our house, the tech slid off an exit ramp and had gotten stuck. I felt so bad but I have to say the communication on Nez and the techs part was amazing. Once the weather cleared and it came time for our treatment, everything was super smooth. Throughout the day communication stayed consistent and they were very detailed about when we could come home and how it was going. After we got home I noticed it was a but chilly in our house. Not thinking too much of it (we keep our house chilly anyway) we went about our evening. Before bed I realized our heat was not working. My husband took a look and determined our heat was in fact not working. We contacted Nez, just to see if they had any issues. She informed the tech said everything was working fine for him. Nez was extremely helpful during the process of figuring out what was wrong. Given our unit was 25 years old and in really bad shape before treatment, it was guessed that just the little bit of dry fog that goes through the unit was just too much. No one could have seen this issue before hand, unless we had a HVAC company come and stick a camera around first. But we hadn't any issues and to the naked eye of us everything looked normal. Nez was again extremely accommodating and stayed in contact with us until the issue was resolved. All in all this was just a rare perfect storm though. Even though we could not pin point the exact reason (fog or age) of why our unit went out. Nez got a quote for the exact part that was damaged and sent us a check. This was a true blessing of an experience, had we not had them come and that part not get damaged. There is a high chance that it would have gone unnoticed until enough carbon monoxide set off our alarms. Nez stayed in contact with us constantly checking in on us days after. This level of customer service is just not found anymore. It is rare for a company to care more about your family then just think of you as just another job. We noticed a difference in our air quality almost immediately after treatment. My husband who was skeptical at first even admits it is a night and day difference in our home. My one year old who has had constant mold side affects is finally doing better. I am writing this review a month after the initial treatment and can honestly say, we still feel the improvement. Even if you don't think the mold is that bad in your house, you need treatment ASAP.”

“We discovered that we had mold under our stairs in our bilevel. I found that I could not go under the stairs or close to the door at times without having adverse reactions. I contacted Nez with Pure Maintenance. She. And Dillon came out and did an air sample. It showed high levels of one mold plus levels of 11 other molds. After further inspection, black mold was found near our HVAC system and in a closet. Guiding us each step of the way, Nez helped us prepare for and then treat our home with their system. I can tell you a difference in the air quality, am not having the problems due to the mold, and strangely enough, our air purifier isn’t working as hard. The post treatment mold test just came back yesterday, and there is no more black mold! The Penicillium/Aspergillus dropped from 1707 spores/m3 to 141!
